There is nothing being asshole about making a legitimate claim. The
cruiseship officer in question was most pleasant about it. He was all
smiles and cooperative even when I retrieved the damaged piece two
different times (after I received the replacement), to remove the
irreplaceable scuba patches I had sewn and glued to the luggage, as
well as my personalized luggage tags and a piece for hanging garments
inside the old piece that was not in the replacement piece.
Hugh, YOU are the only asshole in this episode.
