Even at total evacuation, the max pressure differential increase between
the inside of the can and ambient is approx. 15 psi -- not enough to
cause a rupture. The real problem is potential leakage, so it is a good
idea to put those cans in ziplock bags. I also do that with my
pre-electric shave lotion, and squeeze some of the air out of the
bottle, so any altitude changes don't cause leaks.
