A cooler cup is available in places like Target or most variety / drug
stores. It's simply a cup that functions somewhat like a thermos. Some
have lids on them. The purpose is to keep your drink cold as you lounge
in the sun, etc. Personally, I see them as extra clutter that ads to
the total weight of my luggage. If I'm at an All Inclusive and my drink
has gotten warm, I simply hail a passing wait staff member and order
another.
Unless you plan exploring the jungles of Mexico, you probably won't need
the 100% DEET. It all depends on how attractive you are in general to
the little flying bloodletters. With no repellent, I may get only one
or two bites. If there's no West Nile, Malaria or other nastiness to
worry about I go without as I hate the smell. Otherwise I use the 18%.
If you are somewhere between me and the person for whom mosquitoes
scream "buffet" 30% might be ok.
