I hate to keep bugging everyone with all these questions.....but my
boys (13,11) are really interested in a jungle excursion. Can you
recommend one? I think I read something about a company that takes
you into the jungle...including zip lines accross gorges, going down
into cenote swim holes, etc....but it also included going to a Mayan
village and "seeing the people." My husband doesn't want to go look
at people as part of a tour and I rather aggree that it seems
unnatural and puts them on display in an akward way (zoo-like).
Perhaps they do not mind because they are sustaining themselves on the
income from the tourism, but frankly, I would rather just have a
jungle tour. If anyone knows of one , particularly if it is rather
"active" in that it might include some physical challenges and not
just a jeep ride....then please let me know.
