Somethings are just too bizzare to leave unchallenged...
> There are actually people living in
> jungle trees and shacks barely worthy of the name.
This is absurd...and insulting. Recognize that there are also poor
people in America with NO housing at all.
> I tried the 'mingle-among-the-people' schtick when I first went there. I
> ended up with hotels with unwashed bedsheets with blood on them, fighting
> off ants in the showers, bugs in the beds, and not a great price-break.
To extrapolate from this and assert that ONLY an all-inclusive is
acceptable is illogical.
St. Lucia is a wonderful place; get a travel book and find the style and
price that meets your needs. Obviously, you need to be aware of what you
are buying.
I have had dealt with every issued mentioned above except "unwashed
bedsheets with blood on them", in New York, Chicago and Los Angeles.
