I had another phone call about 9pm JA time, things were ok in Negril
but Kingston was "having trouble". Keeping track on the net, BBC &
stormcarib stated by 2pm local time it should be in full force over
Jamaica.
I'd been asked to ring when I got home, so I did. About 3:15am JA
time. My friend was very quiet, most unusual for him. Said everyone
had done what they could and now just had to "wait to meet this
storm".
When I checked this storm carib site it gave indication the
storms/winds should reach Kingston (if I worked the times out right,
many conversions to do) local time about 7:15am, MB about 1:47pm. The
eye should reach about 13.5 hours after that. It's going to be a long
wait it seems. Something else I read said that the storms & winds in
this awful thing spread out more than 500 kilometres from the eye.
That is massive, as it seems to be on a satellite image I found
somewhere.
