1 - US Scare is unlikely to actually go bankrupt.

2 - Should US Scare go bankrupt, its profitable parts would be
IMMEDIATELY taken over by somebody else, and its Carribbean routs are
very profitable. Whoever takes it over will honor your tickets.

3 - "Close" in miles and low in price is not the same thing. You will
probably find fares from major US cites 1000s of miles away lower than
a "puddle jumper" from nearby Mexico. And, remember, traveling on a
intra-third world flight is a different thing than what you might be
used to.

So just use your miles to a southerly US city and book a vacation from
it to BZE and you will be OK.
