In Anguilla, a great snorkel spot is Little Bay. There are two ways of
accessing this remote spot: climbing down a rope ladder (not recommended if
you aren't in excellent physical shape--you have to climb back up too) or
taking the water taxi. The latter is $10 per person. If you want to use
the water taxi, go to Crocus Bay and ask any local you see for Calvin.

Also, for excellent shallow snorkeling, try the secluded lagoon at Corito
Bay. Mild to no surf, lots of coral reefs, and the depth rarely exceeds 4'.

Shoal Bay is one of the finest beaches in all the Caribbean; indeed in all
the world. It regularly makes the list of the World's Top Ten Beaches in
many publications, and was voted #1 this year by the Travel Channel. Plenty
of services, water sports, live island music, the works. The snorkeling
isn't bad either:

Another fine beach but much less used is Shoal Bay West:

In Anguilla, all beaches have public access and are free to use anytime.
Not all beaches have services, though (restrooms, cafes, etc.).
