Not if they don't have the money or time. My son visits his in laws
once a year and comes by to see us at the same time. We go down to
him a couple of times a year.

My other children would have no problem visiting us in the Caribbean,
but he's not well situated so that he can.

If money was no object for me, it might also not be a problem for him,
although I could just be a very stingy parent. But time isn't as easy
to come by.

At the moment, my mom is still living, and she expects me to visit her
at least twice a month. It is easy enough to do now (I live about 100
miles away), but from the Caribbean it would be a problem. Don't even
suggest that she visit me - the plane trips would not be good for her.
Plus she hates hot weather.

Actually I don't like hot weather either, nor do I particularly care
for the beach except as a place to snorkel. That's another reason why
the Caribbean wouldn't work particularly well for me.
