I agree with the gentleman above. My experiences in Aruba were with
lovely people, fine service and wonderful resorts. In fact of the many
places I have visited in the last 20 years it stand out as one of the
most pleasant islands I have been to.
I recently developed severe nerve damage in my right arm and often type
very poorly yet I am sure the message is understood. An obvious typo
is not indicative of low intelligence and my requests for information
have been made in earnest. A typo is forgivable. A handle such as
"arubasucks.com" and subject headers such as ". Aruba!" and
other comments you have made might suggest you explore your need to
share your intelligent flair for words and negativity somewhere where
they might be of more value to like minded individuals. Perhaps you
should start a new group and see if others that share your opinions
will indulge you.
This forum has always been one I found to be lively and most helpful
over the years. I recently joined because my new physical "challenges"
dictate that I make my next trip selection much more carefully than in
the past. I thought this was a wonderful opportunity to have a helpful
exchange regarding Punt Cana and other places under consideration.
Sadly between this issue and some of the recent absurd comments
regarding privacy and identification concerns (which by themselves are
valid to travel), this forum has become childish, churlish and more
like the low level "blogs" I have disdain for. There are conspiracy
and privacy groups that would have been more on target and I am
grateful for our first amendment rights that allow free speech. But
sir, are you really saying anything to be helpful or informative? Self
moderation is a good thing.
Pity the traveler genuinely looking for the benefit of experience from
those of us who have traveled the Carib extensively.
I leave soon for my trip and I am grateful to those who shared their
opinions to be of assistance. I will not visit again and these last
few days have solidified that. I am sure, Mr. Sucks, if you are
concerned about having your opinions available to a captive audience a
major newspapers op-ed feature might fill your needs better.
