I remember going to Rota, Spain back in 97, and they were going through
a similar thing. I believe it was a Walmart that was about to come in,
and the locals were at arms. This was a place where the siesta was
still alive and well. In the afternoons, I was like, "Where are the
people and why are the businesses closed?" An all-day (or 24 hr)
Walmart would literally shake their society. Wonder what happened?
