The problem is that, unlike Cuba, none of these countries has 'defeated'
the USA.. Before the '60's, under the Batista government, Cuba was
virtually an American colony/state and rich man's playground. Along came
the Castro brothers and Che Guevara, who had a revolution, and threw the
Americans out. USA didn't like this (surprise, surprise) and imposed
embargo. Cuba turns to USSR. USA didn't like this (surprise, surprise)
and tightened embargo. (Condensed version).
