You correctly pointed out Aruba is almost like a desert. Aruba
practically dosen't produce anything. Most everything is imported,
from the US or south America.

Do you know what is cheap in Aruba?

I found the only thing cheap in Aruba is Gouda cheeze, something I like
to eat very much. Gouda cheeze is subsidized by the Netherland
government. It could be had for as little as $20 for a 9 lb. wheel.
That's about it. Everything else is as expensive as that in the US.
