We still use "stone" in the UK - particularly in relation to a person's
weight. A stone is 14 pounds. So if someone weighs 200 pounds we would
say they weighed 14 stones 4 pounds. Now a chain as a measure of length
is very seldom used these days.... it is 66 feet or 22 yards. The exact
length of a cricket pitch - Jamaica plays cricket a lot so I guess
that's part of the reason.
