Subject: cell phone service? Posted on: Fri, 09 Dec 2005 13:02:44 PST

I presently have Verizon wireless service in the US and
will be travelling to Barbados, St Vincent & the Grenadines and Grenada next
month. What makes more
sense bringing my own phone and getting it programmed for regional or local
service or arranging for short term (rental) service with a local carrier?
Also, forgive my ignorance but is there any way my current phone will be
able to receive calls from the US while traveling?
