You were close, they are called mega catamarans. Yes, you can charter
these catamarans through The Catamaran Company. The Catamaran Company
based in Tortola offers charters on a Privilege 60 and also a Yapulka

The Chicago and Miami Boat Shows will definatley have catamarans at
them. The Catamaran Company will be present at both shows. If you
contact them in advance you should be able to get a boarding pass to
take a close look at these multihulls. Sorry, I can not tell you how
many catamarans their are in total. I can tell you for sure though,
that catamaran sales have been steadily increasing. Many people have
been purchasing a catamaran, and placing them into charter to offset
the cost of having the boat sit at a marina somewhere. Mini Cruises
are not as popular as charters, but a growing number of firms are
begginning to atempt it.
