Hi Xavier,
I am wondering about one thing: You mention Reeds House, and a little later
on you say you can`t afford too much.... Ehhhh.... I was in Barbados in
november, and stayed at Coconut Court Hotel, a 3 star hotel on the south
coast. Reeds House cost about 5 times as much as my hotel, and you say you
can`t afford too much??? Either are you talking about another Reeds House
www.reedshouse.com than the one I know of up in St.James on the west coast,
or we have very different perspective of what is much and what is little. Go
to Asia, and you will find the worlds best hotels such as Raffles in
Singapore, Oriental in Bangkok and those kind of places for less than those
4-5 star hotels in Barbados. And belive me when I say that those hotels in
Barbados can not compare with the standard to these ones...
Well.... enough about that. let me try to get back to Barbados:
Well, the west coast is nice, and you will find some very nice hotels such
as Tamarind Cove, Crystal Cove, Glitter Bay and so on. They are all
expensive like crazy (in my opinion), but should be within the same level as
Reeds House.
The west coast has beautiful beahces, it is quiet, but not dead quiet.
You also have a couple places down on the south east coast such as Crane
Beach or Edgewater. Both of them located far away from most things, and you
have of course also Sam Lords Castle.
You will be among tourists on all these places, but it is quiet a distance
to other hotels, and there are not anything near something that can be
called a party street or something similar.
If I am wrong about the price range, please let me know, and I can give you
some other suggestions.
