Subject: Barbados: pros/cons re: Resort and timing Posted on: Sun, 30 Jul 2006 09:59:26 +0000 (UTC)

Hello - Earlier this year I had won a free trip to Almond Resort of
choice on Barbados. One with kids - one without. After readign many
mixed reviews, we are leanign towards the adults only. Haven't been
able to get away yet - NOW (yipee) - we are planning.

1.) Need help deciding: Anyone have experience w/Barbados in September?

Best I can tell it rains, often in the middle of the night but out of
hurricane path. What else? Wind, water temp, etc. Crowds (+/-)
Increase bugs, or whatever? Are certain things closed after Labor Day
etc.? We have toyed with going that week.

2.) THEN Just in case I am way off, I'll ask again: Almond Beach
Village vs. Almond Club & Spa?

If anyone has been recently (I understand there have been renovations
in 2006) if there aren't any tourists (Crowds?) at that time, then with
or without klids may not matter...

If you have any input that helps me choose and figure out this MUCH
NEEDED vacation.
I know there are no guarantees but I realllllly want/(actually need)
the most relaxing and enjoyable trip possible. This year I am way
OVERDUE!!!! (and way stressed)..

I know the Carib is the cure for what ails me - and I love Barbados
but it has been a long time..

Thanks!!!!!
