What are the best things to do in Cancun, Mexico? Well, this is a
question that everyone has to answer for themselves. While eco parks
are great and usually the first destination of tourists, the following
are my personal favorites. Please tell me what are you favorite
places to go and things to do in Cancun.
Ok, here is my starter list
Chicen Itza
I am a ruin junkie. So a visit to Chichen Itza is a must have. We
rented a car and went thru the free road (and not the toll road) to
Chichen. Along the way, we stopped at Mayan villages, and got to
interact with Mayan people (usually under 5 feet tall) who are the
friendliest in the world! You can also take a bus tour to Chichen
Itza. Make sure to bring plenty of water, as it can get very hot
there.
Cenotes: Ahhh... I can go back for Cenotes time and again. These are
underground fresh water holes, and offer great snorkeling and
sometimes diving. Seek them out and visit as many as you can.
Isla Mujeres: This is another of my favorites. This quaint town and
island is on my not miss list. The waters there are calm, clear, and
full of colorful fish. It is a must visit.
