I know that's possible in parts of Mexico's ??Quintana Roo, Riviera Maya. But I don't know about USVI. I do know that ??St. John has a nature preserve that includes a terrific beach. As long ??as the seas aren't too rough, there are daily ferries between St.Thomas ??and St. John. There also is a ferry from St Croix to St. Thomas.????Caribbean food is a mix of African, Spanish, English, Carib Indian and ??French. Some of it is hot and spicy, like Jerk Chicken and some is more ??fragment spicy instead of hot. While each island is similar in what they ??eat, each island's food is different.????Pick an island. Use Google or your favorite search engine to pull up the ??visitors guide for that island. While such online web pages are designed ??to make you want to visit that island, they can also give you a good ??overview of what that island has to offer. St. Croix is mountainous. ??There are villas, B&B, and hotels in the high elevations with sweeping ??vistas, offering cooler temperatures than coastal areas. But, then you ??need to rent a car to come to and from the beach. The beach area is ??hotter, except when cooled by ocean breezes. Staying on or near the ??beach can include the option of staying in/near one of the two major ??towns. If you seek night life it will most likely be found in town. ??Airfare from the US to anywhere in the Caribbean is more costly than ??last year. As Fall and Winter comes airfare will most likely be even higher.????In the long run, you might actually save money if you obtain a Passport ??and take an Eastern Caribbean cruise. That way you only have to unpack ??once. It's like a Tropical Island Buffet, you can sample and decide ??which Island you like best. You can come back to that island when things ??are a little less expensive.
