Time will tell. However, you can be sure that the girl's mother will
attempt to keep Aruba's seemingly inept law enforcement system in the
news. The mom's home is Mountain Brook, AL. That is most likely the
area in Alabama with the highest income and clout per capita. That's
where you find the homes of chairmen and CEOs of prosperous Alabama
corporations that are located in the Birmingham metropolitan area. I
suspect that more than a few strings will be pulled to keep the
negative image of Aruba (most folks will not distinguish between the
island, people, or its legal system) in the minds and hearts of the U.S.
