I was flipping through the July/August Where To Retire magadvertsine and
came across a large article on retiring at sea. Listed is one Kristian
Stensby, Exec VP, who said the ship, The Four Seasons, is geared to early
retirees 45-65, expected to be 40% USA, 40% European, 20% Other. Prices,
in Euros, is to begin at 3.3M or 4.3M USA $$ on a conversion rate of 1 to
1.3 for a 1,336 sf residence, one of 96. Launch late 2007.
They also expect to put out a ship that is much less expensive.
Looks like somewhere along the line, lately, they dumped "For Sales" and
went fractional/timeshare ownership or perhaps they offer both.
At $4.3M = 3,200 per sf, that's a chunk of change and no mention of other
costs typical in a condo or gated community. Well, at least you get a lot
of common area LOL
