I have found a trick to make this a lot simpler. Use one of those vacuum
bag things and hermetically seal all your clothes in them. It reduces
space, but also has another side benefit. Apparently there is something
about the salt laden atmosphere encountered on a cruise or something on a
cruise ship that causes clothing to shrink. I have had slacks shrink so
much over the period of a seven night cruise that pants that fit well before
I left are barely zippable by the time I get off the ship.
