Staybridge Suits are at 501 Tchoupitoulas New Orleans
http://p.vtourist.com/2128153-Cruise_Ship_Dock_and_bridge-Chalmette.jpg
is a picture of the cruise ships in December at dusk and one of them
is an NCL ship. It looks like the dock is right next to Riverwalk,
and the paddlewheel cruise ship dock which is right at Plaza de Espana
and is also near the Canal Street side of the Convention Center and
Harrah's Casino.
It looks to me like the closest hotels would be the Hilton Riverside
http://www.virtualtourist.com/hotels/North_America/United_States_of_America/Louisiana/New_Orleans-793014/Hotels_and_Accommodations-New_Orleans-Hilton_New_Orleans_Riverside-BR-1.html
and the Plaza Suites http://www.plazaresort.com/index.htm is another
place that is near to the docks.
And also the Wyndham Riverfront

If you want to be close to the docks, then don't stay in the French
Quarter, or too far north on Canal Street, or along St. Charles Avenue
in the Garden District.
