Bigger Ships Not Always Better Posted on: Sat, 20 Aug 2005 20:43:31 +0000 (UTC)

Looking at recent exchanges here regarding mega-ships and that more of
you are booing larger ships for XYZ reasons (mostly crowd volume
issues), I had an ironic vision...... I can't count how many times I
went on a cruise and while in port (and sometimes passing by other
ships while underway) I found myself and others saying "look at that
other ship..it's so much bigger than ours...gotta book that one next
time". I wonder if cruise ship size has reached it's apex based on
consumer desires. I also feel that with the nostalgia boom of late
(classic this, vintage that), you may see some smaller builds cut with
retro profiles and interiors that mirror the cruising days of yore.
