Subject: First-timers need Alaska cruise/glacier Posted on: Mon, 29 Aug 2005 16:46:10 +0000 (UTC)

My wife and I are trying to plan an Alaska cruise (our first) that
includes both the ports we want (Juneau, Ketchikan, Sitka, and Skagway)
and an opportunity to see glaciers calving. The only itinerary that
includes all the ports - southbound from Whittier on the Carnival
Spirit - only goes to College Fjord/Prince William Sound, not to
Glacier Bay or Hubbard Glacier. Will we see glaciers calving in
College Fjord? Also, does it matter whether we go in May or June as far
as glacier activity goes? We appreciate any help anyone can give us.
