Not sure how it is on anything but Vista Class ships, but here's the
dining time scoop for Zuiderdam, Oosterdam and I presume Westerdam.
There are four seatings for dinner. The dining room is two levels. The
two early seatings are at 5:45 (upstairs) and 6:15 (downstairs) if I'm
not mistaken. The main seatings are 8:00 (upstairs) and 8:30
(downstairs).
If you are confirmed "main" then you have one of the two later
seatings. I don't think you'll know which one until you get your dining
reservation card included with your welcome aboard paperwork when you
check in.
It is a little confusing, because HAL uses different terminology. Early
is called Early, Late is called Main, while on HAL. Other lines use
Main for Early and Late for Late. Others use Early and Late, which
makes the most sense.
Hope this all didn't confuse you more.
