Becca, time for Civics 101.
Although we have a president, the primary responsibility for what happens in
any state falls to the governor and the local officials. It is ILLEGAL for
the President to move federal forces, of any type, into any state without
the invitation of the state government. The LA Governess did not issue that
invitation for several days, even though the President had called her and
asked for her to take some action, any action. She did not.
There is blame to spread, but try not to politicize it so blatently.
