In a comparison to Celebrity and Princess, I found the Wind very lacking.
Much poorer service than Celebrity/Princess.
Food not nearly as good.
Ship kind of tired looking. Not very clean. Cabins pretty warn. Bathrooms
pretty worn. Big blob of grease on the outside of our window that was
always there... so the window must never have been cleaned on the outside.
No nice buffet restaurant IIRC... at least back then. The pool deck was
disjointed because of the new section where she was stretched.
My overall thinking was... If Celebrity and Princess have a much nicer
overall cruise... why bother with NCL? Why go on a tired old ship like Wind
if you can go on a gorgeous ship like Infinity or Constellation for the same
price? Prices aren't really that different between any of the mass market
lines these days. I would only consider Dawn or one of the other new NCL
ships. But that's me.
