I've only been to Grenada of the three islands you are visiting. Grand
Anse beach, just on the outskirts of St. Georges, is really lovely. It
is (at least it was when we were there - pre-hurricane) a nice, wide
beach with many hotels. It wasn't very crowded at all. And, I don't
think Grenada gets more than one, maybe two ships per day, anyway. When
we were there, far as I know, there were no ships in port except for
the Windjammer Yankee Clipper which we were boarding that evening.
Beware. There are (or were, anyway) vendors all along the beach,
selling spice necklaces, woven palm frond baskets, polished coral
bracelets, etc. Problem is, once you show interest in one person's
wares, you'll be descended upon by all the other beach vendors. They
were pushy, to say the least. The spice necklaces are pretty cool, but
the mace on the nutmegs loses its color pretty quick, so don't be
disappointed if the red isn't red by the time you get home. Actually,
since pretty much the entire spice industry was devastated last year,
by the hurricane, not even sure if spices are plentiful on the island
as they were when I was there.
Loved Grenada and would like to revisit one day.
