Radisson Seven Seas Announces New Line Up Of Show-stopping Cabarets
Aboard Seven Seas Navigator
From sizzling Latin rhythms to timeless Cole Porter melodies, it will
be a toe-tapping good time during each of the Seven Seas Navigator's®
four new revue-style productions. Celebrating a spectrum of music, the
shows feature a talented cabaret quartet with an orchestra complement.
The new "Show Stoppers - a Broadway Cabaret" is a musical homage to
the Great White Way featuring renditions of popular Tony Award-winning
hits from acclaimed Broadway shows including Chicago, Phantom of the
Opera, A Chorus Line, Showboat and Grease.
"Hot Rhythms" turns up the heat and casts a musical fever during its
showcase of wide-ranging favorites including exciting tunes from the
Swing era plus international chart-toppers, classic country, and
sultry Latin selections.
Guests of the 490-guest, all-suite (90% with private balconies) Seven
Seas Navigator will recall timeless melodies that have become
ingrained in our musical landscape during "Cole Porter's Songbook."
The tribute to the legendary artist celebrates several of his clever,
funny and romantic works: "Night and Day," "I Get a Kick Out of You,"
"I Love Paris," "DeLovely" and "My Heart Belongs to Daddy." Performed
in an intimate atmosphere, the cabaret quartet will blend harmonies
and humor, a style that was Porter's trademark.
Billboard-topping hits ranging from the Charleston to the Hustle take
center stage in "Somewhere in Time - a Musical Voyage." A stroll
through the decades from "Your Hit Parade" to the swiveling hips of
Elvis, popular music comes alive during this revue of music that
defined generations.
Tickling the Ivories
In addition to the new cabaret revues, the Seven Seas Navigator, as
well as the rest of the Radisson Seven Seas fleet, will feature two
new concert-style piano performances with an orchestra complement.
Creating a visual as well a melodic experience, documentary-style
photography will flash in the background, pulling the performer,
musicians and images into a complete show of sights and sounds. A
"Hand Full of Keys" will showcase iconic songs of Nat King Cole,
Liberace, Billy Joel, Barry Manilow, Fats Waller, Jerry Lee Lewis and
Sir Elton John. At performances of "Play it Again," Motown, Ragtime,
Rock and Roll, Blues, Swing and Classical favorites are sewn into a
quilt of colorful American musical history. Take a trip along Route 66
to the juke joints of the Bayou, to American Bandstand and Motor City;
enjoy a silent movie starring Charlie Chaplin, swing at the Glenn
Island Casino and wind up for a dramatic finish at Carnegie Hall.
