Damn Midwest weather. I live in Olathe, KS and wouldn't you know it, we got
more snow than Kansas City. At my house by my ruler measurement, I have
1.5' of snow. I started to shovel the driveway yesterday after it stopped,
but gave up. Just too much snow. The city offers free plowing to citizens
over 60 so I guess I'll be taking them up on it.
In the meantime, I have to clear that driveway so I can get my other car out
of the garage. We moved here from the Seattle area last year and man I'll
tell ya, we found out we have arthritis in parts of our bodies we didn't
know about. AND, this is the FIRST snow of the season. Even natives say it
was a record snow fall for one day the early in the season.
Anyway, as the snow was falling, I was dreaming of our cruise. How warm and
hot it was and how I would huddle near an air conditioner to keep cool. I
wish I was on the Promenade Deck now, resting in one of the deck chairs and
keeping warm.
That storm has moved East to to other parts of the country. Have fun people
in the East and North East. We are bracing for our next blast which I
PREDICT will hit us the week after next.
It's only -2 degrees outside. I've NEVER been in temps that low and I'm a
world traveler. I thought Korea was cold in Winter. Wish I was there now
sitting on a hot floor getting my booty nice and toasty while sipping on
some Korean Sake and eating cold Kimchee. Ah, the good old days.
Don't tell me to CHILL either. I'll just stay cool. Cheers everyone.
Anyone got a cheap snow blower for sale?
