We spent a few hours on the beach. It was very nice (esp compared to TX
beaches that we have here). Water was clear and warm, the beach was clean.
There are vendors that will rent you umbrellas and other things. We first
walked around the Atlantis casino, then walked thru the restaurant where you
can view one side of the aquarium, then walked to the beach. Taxi fare each
way was reasonable. It was a good way to spend the day, albeit we were
re-routed to Nassau because of Tropical Storm Claudette and would rather
have been in Grand Cayman.
