I have rechargeable batteries and bring the charger (and a power
strip) with me. I have occasionally taken as many as 277 pictures in
one day, but didn't keep all of them.

I take my computer (also plugged into the power strip), download and
edit them and then at the first chance make my own CD or upload to a
photo service. I can also use the computer with wireless to get and
send email.
