About half the (sailboat) cruisers I know have Iridium. Plan on
paying about $600 for one and $1.65 a minute. And use them only on
deck.
Now that they were able to dump the enormous burden of debt, Iridium
has a bright future and the price is coming down quite a bit. The
phones are still somewhat brick-like.
