Agreed. We were just on Celebrity Infinity last month and it
was wonderful. Having wine stewards is always so much
better than just having wait staff take an order. Celebrity's
staff are well trained about food, wine, and pairings. They
even scheduled seminars and classes because it was a
"culinary voyage.". Vastly superior service compared to the
other premium lines we've sailed, but not quite up there with
the luxury lines.
Celebrity has definitely been staking a claim on the area of
food and wine with their Michelin-starred executive chef. I
think they'll preserve wine stewards and the other nice
touches to keep their image good.
