Ah ... slobs in denim maybe, but the label has to be right, so it;s still
a form or "class thing".
One of the attractions of a cruise is the opportunity to dress up for the
evening - it doesn't come often, these days. Once dressed - black or white
DJ ("tux", if you must), bow and the works, with my partner suitably
attired (the ladies dress up more than the men, these days, so we should
respect them and do likewise) - I'm as comfortable in your excessive air
conditioned environment despite the Caribbean and am happy to stay that way
for the evening.
When it comes to REAL formal dressing up, we attend an annual Viennes Ball
in Oxford (the original, England), where we can dance to a live orchestra
and those attending are dressed, appropriately, in tails, ball gowns, etc.
