Subject: Re: Vancouver Hotel - PanPacific or Sutton Place? Posted on: Thu, 27 Apr 2006 12:09:55 PDT

Our vote would for the PanPacific. Even though it was indeed some years ago,
we stayed there for 3-days as part of a transition cruise back from
Vancouver to Los Angeles. The hotel is very high-end and somewhat expensive.
Yet, we made it as part of a cruise package that included the cruise,
airfare and the hotel, so it wasn't really that bad. In addition, the cruise
dock and hotel are all in one, along with the convention center, shops, and
I-Max theater (if still there), making it quite convenient. Likewise, the
hotel is a short walk to the Vancouver Skytrain, for easy access to other
points within the city, in addition to connections to stations well outside
the city limits as well. We especially liked walking through Gas Town, a
restored old-world section of the city, also a short walk from the
PanPacific Hotel.
