Subject: Re: Formal Dress Posted on: Thu, 27 Apr 2006 12:37:37 PDT

A lot of talk has been circulated within this newsgroup about formal dress,
with some even giving detailed definitions and their personal feeling on how
others should dress, especially on formal nights. While my wife and I don't
mind dressing up a bit, a tux would be out of the question for me. In fact,
I don't even own one. I did however rent one for a very formal evening, yet
that wasn't even for a cruise.

So-called formal attire is somewhat subject, and if the cruise line personal
let's someone in the dining room dressed as they are, then who's business is
it anyway for anyone else to second dress how that are dressed? Dress to
please yourself, not others, who may not approval of many other things you
do as well. If they don't like it, let them change tables - not you.
