What I am talking about is planning the trip from A to Z in consultation
withthe client. This would be for independent travel, you and your wife
come to the agent and want say a week in France but don't want to go to
Paris (pity that but we move on) We discuss the types of hotel you would
want, the kinds of things you might want to see and how to get from A to
Z (train car combination) then we plan it out with suggested sight
seeing. the Agent will typically get commission on the hotels and car.
If that equals or betters the fee either a portion or the whole fee may
be refunded depending upon the agreement.

This is a service for those people who don't have time, or enough
information to plan the trip themsleves but like the flexibility of
indiependent travel. There are a lot of "experts" out there these days
who don't need indivdual serices, but many people do. The fee is charged
because, unfortunately these days some folk will pick your brain nad
then self book. No savings to them often and no income for the work for
the agent.
