Ironically, the 125% single supplement on Crystal [albeit with higher
initial rates] is possibly cheaper than a 200% charge for many mass
market vessels (e.g., a $2,000 Crystal single would cost $2,500 ...
while a 30%-cheaper $1,400 mass market single could cost $2,800)!

Note that other luxury carriers (e.g., Seabourn, Silversea and Regent
(nee Radisson)) also often offer single supplements as low as 110%.

But, then, going as a single cruiser may have other considerations than
the best deal (e.g., availability of activities for singles if that is
of interest, assigned dining options if open-seating-only is frightening
to a single).
