I'm guessing since you mentioned a single cabin you're travelling solo.
If so, $1400 sounds awfully high to me. Could you please clarify the
number of cruisers and the cabin category?

As a datapoint, I'm doing a 4 nighter on the Victory in July as a solo
cruiser in a 1a cabin, and my cost was a little more than a third of
that.

I'm looking forward to the cruise, but am very nervous about sailing out
of NY (getting to the port from the train station etc). I hope it'll all
