I don't think that there are very many actual "Carnival bashers" here...
just some of us who express our preferences, and CCL isn't it.
For example... there's a VERY nice upscale small shopping area not too far
from where I live... there are several women's clothing stores there... I
have friends who favor Coldwater Creek, others J. Jill. I'm sure I know
those who love Talbots and someone else is salivating over some current
styles in Anthropologie. I happen to lean toward Chico's. Does that mean any
of the places are "bad"? By any of us expressing a preference "bashing" the
others? Hardly! I suspect that the rents are quite high where they are, so
they each must be doing very well since they've all been there since opening
two years ago.
Likewise Carnival. There are (obviously!) plenty of people who enjoy their
product, but there are other choices because we don't all fit into that
particular mold.

To the Carnival bashers I have news for you. We just returned from 7
days on the Miracle. Prior to this (our 8th on Carnival) we considered
Celebrity head and shoulders above Carnival for service, food and
"class." Give me a day or two and I'll write a review of our very
happy Carnival experience. This was 7 days and in September we will do
a quick 4 day, so may see a different type of cruise. Whoopie, what a
great time we had.
