Hi Tom,
I've now been on 40 cruises altogether, 5 on Carnival and 3 on Celebrity.
I can honestly say that the last 3 cruises I had on Carnival were at least
as good, if not better than the last two we had on Celebrity (Infinity and
Mercury this year).
I did notice that there were fewer announcements on Celebrity (to the point
of not knowing what was happening on the ship most of the time).
Food and service on Carnival is as good if not better, and the clenliness of
the Carnival ships was FAR and above what I experienced on Celebrity, apart
from the almost constant wiping of surfaces on the Mercury due to a recent
NORVO outbreak.
On the Constellation Lounge on the Infinity in January they could have used
some of that wiping down of panneling as all the walls were GREASY with
fingerprints during the whole trip and I never once saw any staff trying to
clean them.
I, also, don't see what your point is in knocking Carnival's whole operation
because of some insignificant event on a short 5 Day cuise on one of
Carnival's older ships. It's time you got that bug out of your bonnet and
found some better way to spend your time.
