I know that Celebrity suggests 50% of the normal tips for children (not sure
about Carnival), but given the "extra" service required for kids, we usually
tipped at the 100% adult level. Waiters did things like keep jars of peanut
butter and jelly with bread for our daughter when that's all she'd eat when
she was about 5. They went out of their way even more for the kids than for
the adults.
I would suggest a wait and see about tips for the kids. See how it works
out. Then decide how much.
