I thought the vast majority of cruise ships were registered in obscure
places to skirt labor laws, taxes, environmental regulations, etc. It's
refreshing to see ships registered in the US. Seems to be an exception
to the registration Rule.

Wouldn't calling out NCL for registering in the US, in comparison with
cruise industry practices as a whole, be a case of the teapot calling
the kettle black?

Also, for anyone who has cruised on the NCL "Pride of X" ships that are
registered in the US, which, I've read, have mostly American crews
(again, seems rather unique in the industry), what was your experience
like compared with other cruises on other ships (staffed by Filipinos
and others from low-wage countries)?
