Bob, Have you tried hotels.com. You can pick the hotel you want. I
just used them for the first time for this coming weekend in Manhattan.
I saved over $150 per night (3 nights at a 4 star hotel) using them.
Just another option. Last time in Ft. Lauderdale I stayed at Embassy
Suite on 17th. Cook to order breakfast in the morning and 2 hours open
bar at night (full bar and rest plus room service). Thanks to Sue
Mullen and her recommendation. Just be aware that Dec. is peak season
on Southern Florida. But you probably already knew that.
