Windstar Cruises has promoted Jodi Merrywell to director of marketing for
the upscale cruise line. Merrywell's responsibilities include the
development and execution of all marketing programs, including electronic
communications, marketing services collateral, advertising and direct
marketing materials. She will oversee the marketing and advertising budget
for worldwide cruises, said Diane Moore, vice president of marketing and
sales. Merrywell has held various positions in the Windstar sales and
marketing group over the last 13 years. Most recently, she was manager of
marketing services for Windstar, a position she held for over four years.
During her tenure, she coordinated photo and video shoots on board the
ships, and managed design and content of all printed brochures. As director,
Merrywell plans to enhance Windstar's brand image as "180-Degrees from
Ordinary" and increase awareness of the line through creative marketing and
