My wife and I along with two friends did this cruise last year. We
enjoyed the ship, its layout, Portofino's, and the casual dining
options, the food in the main dining room - not so much.
Others have given advice so I'll only add that on St Martins I did the
Americas Cup race which I booked through the ship. I believe that they
are contracted through a just a few tours and ships so this may not be a
roll your own. If you enjoy sailing do this, you can do grinding to
passing out drinks whatever you like. This has been my best shore
excursion so far...what a blast. My wife and our friends went to the
French side had lunch and sunned themselves on Orient Beach. They also
spoke highly of their day. Late afternoon we took the water taxi into
town did some shopping and went to the "yoda" shop. Since it was our
10th wedding anniversary cruise we picked up the Caribbean Map with our
cruise mapped out.
