The range is nowhere near what they advertise on the package especially on
cruise ships with all the steel. You're sometimes lucky to be able to talk
to the other unit 2 or 3 decks below & if separated by the length of the
ship it gets worse. They can be handy at times but over all there not worth
the effort.
